Your Imput On Server Rules

We have started a list well me and sharky have....and figured it is your server to and we do greatly like your imput. So any thing you would like to see or add onto a Forum and Ingame Rules...Please start a list here so it will give us a few more ideas to implement...and get a list finalized so we can post it and start enforcing.

This will just be a draft...then when we all agree and finalize this I will go ahead and Place one in the forums for all members to see and use.

The matter has come up like sharky has said in the Bot Case, So lets start thinking of some rules Instead of making 100 posts It is ok to just add to the list I begin..then if u are just replying to make a post with your thoughts. To keep down the posts on here so we dnt have to read through many. Will use this post as the LIST and rest for feedback.

Many of these will be common sense I believe.

1: No Bots,Hacks or modding files of any type.
2: Be respectfull to your fellow community members and staff.
3: No use of Foul Language.
4: No Spamming on posts or In Game on the /post command.
5: Will not use the game or forums to promote another game or business.
6. No Staff or GM will ever ask you for your Account Info. or Passwords
7. No Staff or GM will ever abuse there power in any way to better themselves or benefit another player.


Bans:
1st warning afk cage or disconected
2nd 24hour ban
3rd week ban
4th loose 10 resets
5th permanent ban

Also Hackers and Botters will be IP Banned.

There will be many I know but please add to the list or reply on your thougts for already made on the list.

Uhm do we allow afking or not?

no we do not allow them here. altho you will be possible allow to use afk on paid servers in future. example donated or private servers vip servers.

i'dd let people afk for the moment, once we have more members we won't allow it anymore, if they still wanna afk than they need to pay an amount of money to enter vip server

its kinda useless atm to punish afkers because not many ppl play here and its just enough to get all in a cage we want without to wait when its free

Well I can see your guys point with wanting to not touch you for AFK. But there was a few members aka bigred and a few others. That would explode my MSN bout never having a spot and cussing every word in the book about it. Me and Master are the only ones who will do the afk checks and since me and him work during the day and me and him try to be on at seperate times. AFK checks are very rare and random atm. I only do 1 afk myself if there are bout 4+ people on.

So for the moment I think we will keep it as is. Like master posted once we get VIP and Private servers for guilds, members etc. The afk rules will be altered.

Bans:
1st warning afk cage or disconected
2nd 24hour ban
3rd week ban
4th loose 10 resets
5th permanent ban


is a bit harsh for an afker, i would just warp em to afk cage, and if keeps afking we take away 2 resets and keep increasing it untill he stops

not all punishments will apply on all the rules..we just put it there so you will know the consequences..every broken rule will get the respective punishment that fits them..

If u ever appoint new Staffmember, never give em a set for their normal char cause people would only join for the set(like you know what other server) If the person is doing a great job than u can reward them with a set but only if he does a good job.

Also yes those punishments don't only apply to AFK'ers lol that goes out to in general rule breaking....an afker will just get sent to the CAGE a lot lol

1.
Exploiting bugs
Exploiting any bugs in the game or website to gain an advantage or put others at a disadvantage
E.g. Duplicating items
Punishment:
Account/IP ban
How to report:
Frequent scans of item identification serial numbers and game logs will draw attention to show up offenders. However, if you have information, please pass it on to a MM as soon as possible including suitable screenshots if necessary for investigation.

2.
Impersonating staff
Attempting to mislead people into thinking you are a MM or any member of staff
Punishment:
Account/IP ban
How to report:
Pass on any and all information to a MM as soon as possible including suitable screenshots if necessary for investigation.

3.
Hacking / threatening to hack / unlawful activities
Gaining unauthorised access to restricted areas of the server;
Gaining unauthorised access to another player’s game account, personal details, account details;
Using this game as a means of conducting unlawful activities
This covers a wide variety of possible crimes including hacking, phishing, using keyloggers, scamming.
Punishment:
IP ban, we may also feel the need to contact the authorities.
How to report:
Pass on any and all information to a MM as soon as possible including suitable screenshots if necessary for investigation. If you have discovered items missing or a password changed on your account, please send in all relevant details. You must include account name and a date range that the offence could have taken place in. The more recent the offence, the more likely we are to be able to help. You may or may not have your items returned when the offender is caught.

DON’T BE A VICTIM, KEEP YOUR PASSWORD SECURE!

4.
Harassment
Harassing another player or member of staff, repeated abusive behaviour to a particular individual, repeated PKing of an individual to an extreme degree.
Punishment:
This may range from a warning to an IP ban depending on severity and prior offences at the MM\'s discretion.
How to report:
Pass on any and all information to a MM as soon as possible including suitable screenshots if necessary for investigation.

5.
Abusive behaviour or language
Includes general insults and profanities towards other players, members of staff or the game as a whole; acts or language of religious intolerance, racism and all prejudice; threats of violence.
Punishment:
This may range from a warning to an IP ban depending on severity and prior offences at the MM\'s discretion.
How to report:
Pass on any and all information to a MM as soon as possible including suitable screenshots if necessary for investigation.

6.
Advertising
Using the any part of the game, site, forums or community to advertise other websites, games and servers, products or services
Punishment:
IP ban
How to report:
Pass on any and all information to a MM as soon as possible including suitable screenshots if necessary for investigation.

7.
Trading for real money
All data contained on this server is property of our MU. You are not allowed to buy or sell game items for real money. Any attempt to profit from being a player in MU will not be tolerated. You may purchase items legitimately by donating. We will not take any responsibility for you being scammed out of money or game items by illegitimate trade.
Punishment:


Account/IP ban

8.
Account sharing
Sharing your game account with another individual; this is the case for the lifetime of the account, it does not matter if the account is not currently in use by its owner.
Punishment:
Warning, Account suspension, account ban

Pass on any and all information to a MM as soon as possible including suitable screenshots if necessary for investigation.

9.
Abuse of game files
Use of 3rd party programs to alter the game or altering any game files without permission; this would include any trainers, memory hackers, editing of textures etc.
Using the game files for anything other than their intended use; this includes taking our client files for use on another server, trying to use client files other than the ones available from this website on this server.
Punishment:
Account/IP ban

Pass on any and all information to a MM as soon as possible including suitable screenshots if necessary for investigation.

10.
Disrupting events
We try to run events regularly; however it is very difficult if there is a large gathering of people and some or all are being disruptive. When a MM is trying to make an announcement or give instructions during an event, you must remain quiet. Keep conversations to private messages (whispers). This is common courtesy.
Punishment:
Disconnection

11.
Spamming
Flooding the game or forum with comments or other text unnecessarily
Punishment:
Warning, disconnection, forum ban
How to report:
Pass on any and all information to a MM as soon as possible including suitable screenshots if necessary for investigation.


NB:

A “suspension” is a temporary exclusion, whereas a “ban” is a permanent exclusion.
All punishments within reason are up to the MM\'s discretion up to and including IP banning for any offence.
When multiple rules have been broken, this will be taken into consideration and the punishment may be greater than that of the individual offences.
The player’s record of past offences will also be taken into consideration; all characters on the same account will be recorded together; i.e. a first offence on one character will mean the next offence on any character is treated as a second offence.


HOW TO REPORT RULE BREAKERS WITH SCREENSHOTS
It is important that you take appropriate screenshots. This means the maximum conversation log must be visible and legible while keeping the actual screen content partly visible.
Press F4 until the conversation window takes up the full height of the screen and alter the transparency of this window so that the writing is clear and legible, but not so that the window is fully opaque.
Screenshots where very little of the conversation window is shown may be deemed inadmissible as evidence and dismissed.

12.. Last but not least, if anyone feels they must use a cheat or hack to further themselves in the game - then this is not the server for you. You will be iped immediately if caught using cheats or hacks. There is no "best" in this game. There is nothing to prove here. This server is about having fun, relaxing, making new friends and simply gaming.

* All punishments within reason are up to the Administration's discretion and/or including IP banning for any offense.

* When multiple rules have been broken, this will be taken into consideration and the punishment may be greater than that of the individual offenses.

* The players record of past offenses will also be taken into consideration; all characters on the same account will be recorded together.

The Admins reserve their right to choose the persons that play on ROGUE.

About the account sharing is it ok to share when he knows about it and knows we're not harming it? Me and oblivious would never hack an account or something like that...we're just here to enjoy the fun ^^

its ok mate..nothings wrong with that..after all if an account has been shared and been hacked, it is the responsibility of the account owner to take care of his account..just don't share it if you can't trust them and you don't know them...as for my normal account that i've shared with obli, its fine coz i trust him very much and i was the one who told him to use my account to help him and others if possible gain some rr..hehehe!

yer i agree so long as u can trust he guy using it i've known fishy for quite some time he is ok but just to let ppl know it is so easy to change the pass word on some 1s acc as u do not need to use ur email add to do it so be carefull i feel there should be a security question implimented in there some where plz give feed back on this subject

Isn't there a secutity question?

no m8 theres not 1 i am the new owner of maters sm i changed pass word just by placing old 1 in then putting in new 1 twice and that is all there is to it next day some 1 had changed it i had to get sharky to fix it and change the email address that was there so to stop any1 else from changing it

however there is a security question on the main page when u log in this is if u have forgotten ur password it does ask u for a security question (like wat is ur mothers maiden name) but on the changing pass word there is not

ok my mistake..i think we should add a question then just for safety and precaution

account shareing in my opinon is ok as long as both partys agree in shareing but the account if asked will allways be reverted to the oringinal owner if he or she request me to edit the account

just remember when your sharing accts and something goes wrong....and we know that u were sharing the acct not to much we will do since u took the risk

anciant is right and so is shark and so is the question which i have the answer . and which account is locked out and which original owner has been trying for days to get on and in which the AncientGM has been on it all 3 days and locked it out and i am asking for it to be unlocked . since you casn see i have been active on here all 3 days. and also as fallen requested i change password so he can have the one thing i promised him if i made new acxct or left.
